Industrialization
Guided Tour

Who decides – human beings or machines? Do people become lazy because of machines? And how does a steam engine operate? Presented with historical objects, students will investigate the living conditions and the revolutionary consequences of industrialization through intense study and inquiry: How did the living conditions of workers change and how was their self-perception affected by the industrial revolution? What meaning did the railway hold for economic and political developments? How was the energy-question resolved and how do we respond to it today? Through shared conversation, there will be the realization, that one does not always find clear answers to these questions.
