GUIDED TOURS

Konzerthaus Berlin, Großer Saal © Sebastian Runge

Guided Tour

The theatre stands on one of the most beautiful squares in Europe, not least because of its classical façade, that conceals a treasure trove of theatrical and architecural history. Once the venue for popular music and theatre performances, it was completey destroyed during the Second World War and only re-opened in 1984. Today it is the home of the Berlin Symphony Orchestra. The guided tour illuminates the 200 year history of the building, designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel, and provides an insight into the history of theatre and architecture.
