If you submit a booking request to the Museumsdienst Berlin via the booking form or make an individual or group registration via the registration form, we will ask for your name, your email address, your telephone number and your address in particular. We process the data you provide exclusively in order to process your booking request and to send you your booking or registration confirmation. The legal basis for the data processing described above is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR.
We store your data for a maximum of two years after your last active booking, after which your data will be deleted immediately. Your data will be automatically deleted after 30 days if you register free of charge (group registration and individual registration). We give you the opportunity to subscribe to an e-mail newsletter for teachers, for which we collect your e-mail address, your name and your educational institution. We also analyse our newsletter service by collecting certain usage data.
The processing of the data for sending the newsletter is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. The analysis of the usage data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the optimisation of our newsletter offer.
We store the data processed for the email newsletter until you withdraw your consent. The analysed usage data is stored for a maximum of one year.
We offer you the opportunity to contact us, for example via our e-mail address or telephone number. If you send us an e-mail, you provide us with your e-mail address and, if applicable, your name, a subject and the content of your enquiry. We process this data in order to be able to answer your enquiry. This purpose also constitutes our legitimate interest in data processing (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). The processing may also take place in order to fulfil a contract with you. In this case, the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR.
We generally store your enquiry for as long as it is necessary for the purpose of your enquiry, unless legal provisions prevent deletion, in particular if further storage is required in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR for the purpose of providing evidence or to comply with statutory retention periods in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR. If you register individually or as a group for an event in a museum, the museum and, if applicable, the guide will receive a list with the names of all registered persons.
We also use external service providers if we cannot reasonably provide services ourselves. These external service providers are primarily providers of IT services, such as our hoster, email provider or telecommunications provider. We use the newsletter service Brevo (formerly SendInBlue) and the booking software go~mus.
Unless expressly stated elsewhere in this privacy policy, we do not intend to transfer your personal data to a third country outside the EU or EEA.
The General Data Protection Regulation guarantees you certain rights that you can assert against us, provided that the legal requirements are met.
You have no contractual or legal obligation to provide us with personal data. However, without the data you provide, we may not be able to offer you our service.
We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal effects concerning you or adversely affects you.
