The Allied Museum is situated in the heart of the former American sector in Berlin’s Zehlendorf district, the vibrant focal point of life in the American garrison. The tour of the permanent exhibition begins in the Outpost Theater, and continues in the former Nicholson Memorial Library, where our current temporary exhibition is also on display.

The history of the Western powers in Berlin is full of suspense and drama. The exhibition »How Enemies Became Friends« begins with the American, British, and French occupying troops marching into Berlin in 1945 and ends with the Allies’ ceremonial withdrawal in 1994. The objects you see at the Allied Museum are almost exclusively originals, most of them from their own collection.
