The Deutsche Kinemathek is a leading institution for audiovisual heritage. From 2025, it will move to the E-Werk in Berlin-Mitte, where the programme will continue - with proven formats and new ideas. The Kinemathek offers insights into film and television culture and remains a point of contact for film enthusiasts, fans and academics. Until the end of October 2024, it presented a permanent exhibition on German film and television history. In autumn 2025, it will resume exhibition operations at its new location.
