Here you will find an explanation of the pictograms used on the Museumsportal to indicate the accessibility of museums. The classifications and descriptions are based on the information provided by mobidat.net.
Program in simple language
The program is conducted in simple language.
Program in German Sign Language
The program is offered in German Sign Language or with simultaneous translation into German Sign Language. A sign language specialist is on site.
Program for people with visual impairments or visual limitations
The program is primarily aimed at people with visual impairments or visual limitations. It takes the form of a tactile and audio tour, for example.
Good wheelchair accessibility
Facility has good equipment for use by people with a wheelchair. Independent accessibility is possible.
Features include:
smallest door width in the usage area at least 90 cm, access and usage area without steps, max. ramp gradient less than 6%, max. ramp length 6 meters or wheelchair accessible elevator.

The "Signet Barrier-Free" is awarded by Pegasus GmbH.
